Yesterday we arrived alive and well back in Iowa. Home. We greeted the cats, unpacked our bags and wasted no time getting the new Marathon Sticker on the Silver Bullet Subaru. After all... Without a sticker on the Subie, it's like it never really happened!
We could have waited until we got a good cleaning on him, but thought it better to clean off a single spot and have the Ceremony as soon as possible.
8 Marathons! 7 Stickers! ( Grandma's Marathon was a repeat... no only one sticker represents two actual events.) It almost looks like we are running out of room on the bumper. Either that or we may have to get another Subaru to help share the load. I'm sure we will figure out something.
It was a good thing we finished that little process up when we did. Because shortly after dark, it began to snow.
I would say about 4 inches. It has been blowing and drifting all day today, so it is hard to tell at this moment. At least the temps are not too low. Or else the windchill would be unbearable!
But it did not matter much for us today. We spent the entire day making stockings! (Trying to catch up after a two day absence.) Only 32 stockings today, with 20 more for tomorrow. Not terrible at all.
If Cheryl has the MoJo, she may work on more custom orders tonight, and that will mean I will have to tell the people what we have for them. So.... Our work is not technically over yet. But at least I have a moment to blog and drink a warm cup of coffee while I wait. It certainly is better than working for someone else.
Hope everyone is staying warm in their areas. Winter is really trying to get a grip early this year. And after a year when Summer refused to leave when it was supposed to... Ah well, it's always the Roller Coaster rides that are the Most memorable.
Thanks for stopping in,
