But NO! Cheryl is still feeling that "Runner's High" that runners use to taunt us couch potatoes. I'm sure all that suffering brings its own reward, but you really should keep it to yourselves. Personally, I don't think it actually exists! The only "high" I ever felt while running was when the suffering was over.
But Cheryl continues to run... and Plan her NEXT Marathon as if she could run it tomorrow ( if one were available) We ran today, in fact! 7 miles! Our normal loop, but this time it started to rain. This did not stop her though... because she ran a 3:24:24 Marathon!
You might have noticed that the snow is almost gone. The temps have stayed just below freezing for most of the week, except today. In Iowa, the Temps remain cold, but if the sun peeks through, then sidewalks, roads, and other "dark areas" will heat up and melt the snow. Sending the Illusion that the snow is disappearing and it is getting warmer... But that is not necessarily true.
But the temps are predicted to continue to warm for the upcoming week. 40's of so. Good for the Outdoor cats and for those who ride bikes along side runners. ( Who run 3:24:24 Marathons!)
Speaking of Cats... I believe Leo failed his interview for the Indoor Cat Gig. If I was in Feline Resources ( like Human Resources.. only for cats. Get it?) I would first commend him on his showing. He was well behaved, did not start any fights, used the litterbox as subscribed, (although, he was giving us a scare for a while there... I'll explain later) No spraying, territorial behavior, He played with me and briefly cuddled Cheryl. He curled up and camped out on the arm of the couch in the cutest possible way...
However...
After doing a little math, and future thinking, We estimate that he would bankrupt us by mid summer at that level of eating. We would not be able to travel to any overnight races for fear he would eat all the food and then attack and eat Hiro. So... Looks like Outdoor cat will remain outdoor for a little longer. At least he will be able to come in if it drops down to extreme cold this winter. And maybe I should limit his food to two cans or even one a day... to get him back to normal.
Other than that, we have sewed up 46 sockings this weekend. Cheryl says it seems like more. We have to stay on top of the supplies, as we have currently run out of ribbon for the loop and will have to wait until Monday to finish the ones we worked on today. Good times.
Hope everyone is staying warm and dry today. It was rather nice outside, compared to what we have had earlier this week. Next week is Thanksgiving! So fast! T hanks for stopping in.
