Wind and Snow in Iowa.... Really.

 Yes, Yesterday was 80 degrees and Cheryl had a melt down because it was "too Hot!"  But that changed mid-afternoon.   A strong ( And I mean...VERY Strong!)  Wind has blown in much cooler temps.   The weather radar said there was snow up north of us near Dubuque and Cedar Rapids.   But then it began to snow here!

I thought we were done with the snow.   I even put in the Air Conditioner!  But low and behold...  Snow was in the air!.   At least none of it was accumulating.  I'm sure those days are gone his late in the season.   And Cheryl certainly enjoyed the run this morning while I froze my butt off.

Speaking of running,  we ran in Iowa City this morning and decided to try to replenish supplies.   Normally we simply buy things on a day to day basis.  However,  now things are a week or two week schedule.   I  don't remember the last time we visited the Iowa City Hy Vee,  But since that last time, it has become  Triage center!  Plastic sheeting is everywhere and everyone is wearing masks. ( ok, not everyone... but lots of people!)   Still no toilet paper!  Unbelievable!  We are just barely into our final package of 4...  We did NOT horde  several 30 packs... or whatever number they come in these days.  We prepared for two weeks isolation.   Which became 4.... now 6!   That tells you our daily use of toilet paper is not like other people's.

I know we can get some if we visit our local grocery store.. but Come on!  HyVee?   They get Trucks to resupply every day!  You would think that some grocery clerk would think to himself..." I think we sould order a double dose of the Toilet paper...  It probably does not even matter what brand."  And perhaps they are....  And still people are hording it?   I just don't understand it.

Cheryl is done with People!

The visit to the store creeped Cheryl out even more than normal.   She wants things back to normal... That is:  Normal for everyone else.   This IS normal for us.   We Normally avoid people.   We normally shop a little every day.  We Normally only work half the year and the rest of the time we race, do stockings, or try to relax with hobbies or some other outdoor activity.   It's everyone else that is The problem.  Our neighbors are home all the time now and are VERY noisy.  Our normal bike/run trails are down right Crowded!  All the news is bad... even when there is good news to report.

This is becoming a rant.... So.  On to happier things.   I made another Origami Video.   This one took a little longer and was a bit of an intermediate level folding model.  I could have stopped with the folding, but the butterfly video gave me ideas...  So,  I had a little fun.   Enjoy!
