This morning, bright and early, we dropped Haru off to the Iowa Humane alliance to get his fix on. We are supposed to pick him up tomorrow at around the same time. By that time, the drugs should have worn off and he will be probably pretty grouchy. And so will we.

Probably because we did not get much sleep last night. We had to keep Haru inside all night... And keep him from eating. ( A challenge! Because he is Always hungry.) Similar to Leo back in 2019, it was a one time stress that allows us to enjoy the cat forever more.
After such and early wake up, I was ready to go straight back to bed! But Cheryl wanted to run. ( 7 miles again! because it was 40 degrees and no wind.) And then the stockings hit us.
Wouldn't you know it, we got dumped on with 35 ( I think) stockings. We completed 28 of them today, and it feels like so much more. Funny how sleep deprivation will make everything seem more difficult. But I guess 38 stockings is better than just 18. Which would have been easier, but then we would be feeling like we are doomed for lack of money. Either way you slice it, my title to this blog post was going to hold up.

So... Sleepy time. And then, rinse and repeat. Only this time, we will be bringing Haru home and hopefully keeping him inside for good this time. On par with Hiro, rather than Rocket and Leo... the "Part time" cats.
