Thunder! Lightning! Running and Rainbows.

Running in Muscatine.
Running in Kewash
Quick post as I finally have a little time to catch a few things up on the blog.  Turns out that bothersome Airplane Origami took several days to complete and wiped me out each day so I had very little to write about.    So...  I have to catch up on a few things....  mostly the pictures that are clogging my camera.

Running in Trueblood.

Running!   Cheryl wanted to run 10 miles each day this week...  kind of like setting a goal since we ran 50 miles a few weeks ago. We started off pretty good,  with two days of running 10 miles and followed that up with evening 10 mile bike rides.  However,  the real world breaks in and tells you things from time to time.  In this case,  Cheryl's body told her to "Cut It Out!"   She ran 56 miles followed by 7 today.   Still not a bad showing!  But not the 10 miles we had hoped for.
See the calm lake?   No wind today!

Possibly she lets the doom and gloom news get inside her head and it messes things up.  "Why Bother Training? There will never be another marathon ever again now that we are all going to die... or remain socially distant."   At some point today,  I think they "jumped the shark" and basically said the virus will never leave, we are all going to catch it, and we will will all most likely have irreparable damage to our lungs, kidneys. livers, and hearts... Basically we are SO doomed,  there is no point in socially distancing anymore... since we are all dead!  It is just a matter of time....

Tomato seedlings.
Sun shines under storm clouds.
But Cheer UP!    IT rained the last couple of days!   Warmer weather and some spring showers always make the mushrooms and flowers come alive.  I even got my Tomato plants to sprout! ( Finally!)   With the rain and humid air, I may go outside and work up the garden.  I'm thinking this storm front that is moving through right now will end the risk of frost for good!  At least, that is the plan.  I may have to hold off until the plants are a little bigger before releasing them outside....

Eerie colors from setting sun.

Rainbow just before sunset.
And finally,   The storm brought a lovely rainbow.   In fact, the Sun was shining under the clouds most of the time, creating an eerie  feeling to the storm.   But a few thunder claps and lightning bolts always are a fun little change to the otherwise boring Iowa Wind.    No wind today!   How fun!   How rare....

Working on Darth Vader Dollar
Origami.
Other than that,   I have been folding some origami that was NOT filmed today.  We did not have much time after Iowa City errands.   I still have to work out my next stop motion plans anyway,  so just folding Darth Vader's Helmet was a refreshing change.   Hopefully,  it will be dry soon and I will take pictures tomorrow...  Providing things turn out.

Hope everyone is staying safe, sane and dry.   Thanks for stopping in.
