This Weather is For The Penquins!

Get it?  For the Birds... Only colder....  Ah well,   what can you expect  when you have nothing else to blog about.
The term "Bone Chilling" comes to mind as we fired up the Subaru this morning.   Subie does not like the cold much.  Then again,  neither do I!   True,  I lived in Minnesota for four years and Alaska for 3.  ( Those are including the Winters!)   And, of course, Michigan for most of my life.   But there is usually a grace period between hot and cold change ups.  Not so in Iowa.
A little ice on the path today.

Cheryl decided to run anyway.  Mostly to see if she could and to check out the trail.   We discovered it was Icy as predicted.

Cheryl plays it safe.

Some areas had less ice.
However,  the Ice was not a sheet of glass.   There was at least a little "grip"  for my bike tires and shoes of Winter design.   Even then,  Cheryl did not want to take any chanced with a slip or a turn of the ankle.  We kept the pace slow and the miles short.

Cheryl runs in the snow.
22 stockings.
On to Stockings!  We did 22 I think today.   There are a number of stockings on the "wait a sec" list,   waiting for people to "Ok" the design or clarify something.  Still.  22 is a lot and we seemed to have jumped from single digits  to 20-30 in a single day!   Not much of a warming up period here either!
I'm here to "Help?"

I'll keep an eye on stuff.
The cat has been trying to be a "Shop Cat" for many years now, but I don't think Hiro is the cat for the job.   Mostly he bugs us with his whining and meowing rather than support us with pets, cuddles, or simply a "Cat Nap" visual to rest our weary souls.

What are you doing there?

Is it supposed to look like that?
However,  today,  we decided to "help" Cheryl again.   If he is not crowding Cheryl off of her chair, he  is eating her thread or closely inspecting her work.

That doesn't look right at all...

He is like the unpaid Foreman who says nothing but gives you those "Odd Glances" now and then to keep you wondering.

Are you going to change it?
Eventually Cheryl kicked him off and out of the room.   There is only so much unprovoked criticism she can take from a judgemental cat.

So,  the cold remains and Cheryl is finishing up a few requested custom orders.  That means I will have to answer questions and show off designs when she is done.  Showing off pics is easy, but having to write to explain things can be slightly more time consuming.

That's about it!  Thanks for stopping in.
