And Then The Snow Came Back....

Snow is Falling!
What a difference a day makes!
I had my doubts that it could snow when the temps read 35 degrees...  And yet,  here we are!   It was just the other day that Cheryl was running in shorts!   Yesterday it was 60!  How can the temps drop that suddenly and cause the snow ( which is sticking around, by the way)  to happen this late in the year.

Robins looking for food.
And yet... we run!
Alright,  it is true that I have seen things like this before in the past.  Late snows,  sudden temperature changes...  Robins  looking for worms in the white powder...  But usually it is not as common in Michigan as it is here.

Sideways snow in the face!

Snow is actually accumulating!
Well,  not to be daunted,  we decided to run and bike anyway.  The blowing, wet, heavy snow stung our faces as if it were a sharp rain.   Both of us froze.   Sideways snow is the worst to deal with while running/biking. And it is for that reason that we decided to call it early after only one lap around the lake.

And so is Cheryl.
Subie is covered in just 18 minutes.

We have been home for a while now and it just stopped snowing.   Not much accumulation at the moment,  but enough to turn the lawn white.  I'm hoping it will not stick around very long as I was really looking forward to an early spring.

And so is our Lawn!
In other news...  FREEDOM from Pearson.   Turns out they canceled the next weeks wrap up due to that Corona -thing.  Originally they had  sold the project as a three week gig.  Then... they pushed it back a week, and told us we would do as much as we could in two weeks instead.   Then they extended it back to three weeks!   NOW/....   They changed their minds again!  Turns out the project was only two weeks after all and the remaining essays will be scored later this summer...  probably by us.   So it really does not matter as there will be work waiting for us later in the year.

Running is easier when you are not chained down.
But for now... Freedom.   Freedom from work and freedom from racing.  Oh yeah!   Cheryl's entire spring is now cleared up as the last race canceled today.   We have not decided what to do with all this new found time, but we will most likely continue to run and bike...  preferably around less people.   Not that we were very sociable in the first place.  I guess being in a "remote" town in Iowa has its perks after all.   And just when we could not figure out any good reasons to live here...   Along came the Corona-thing.

Hope everyone is staying healthy and warm.  Though the snow has claimed the day,  it is not as cold as one might think.   That being said,  I would rather stay indoors and enjoy a warm Hot Coco.    Thanks for stopping in.
