With that unnecessary bit of information, that is where we decided to run/bike today. Well, what else is there to say other than the sun was shining and it was a touch too windy. The trail was soft, meaning the bike had a difficult time navigating the terrain. But only slightly worse than that was the horse hooves!
The trail is closed to horses. I imagine it is for this very reason. The horses will chop up the trail if the soil is in any way soft or damp. And then... after the trail has hardened somewhat, the once smooth trail now looks like a moonscape! You can imagine running and being worried about twisting an ankle... so then imagine trying to bike over those things.
For that reason, we decided to take our chances with the road near the one mile mark. the road had gravel, but was harder and less rutted than the trail. It also had several hills to navigate. So much fun.
And then when we turned around, we had to deal with the wind. More misery than we had initially hoped for.
But we finished 7 miles and enjoyed the sun a little bit before the predicted rain for tomorrow. I'm not a fan of riding in the rain, but if we do it in town, it may be more tolerable. We shall see.
I had big folding plans today, but nothing seems to be turning out... so no pics of any finished items. Perhaps tomorrow will be a better day. Thanks for stopping in.

You would need a dirt bike for that rutty mess! At least the sun was out today. Seven miles is great! The wind was cold here today too:)
Seven miles? I get tired just thinking about it. The weather is crazy here in TN - warm one day and freezing the next.
