If The American Indians Only Had Masks....

Even the Statues have Masks!   If only they had these back when Small Pox was going around.
Monday Snowy Morning.
Snow....
Fortunate for us.... The snow only lasted one day.  It was mostly gone by yesterday afternoon. .   Cheryl and I ran/biked around the Lake in Iowa City again... Rolling the dice with our health and well being.  But what fun is there in life if you play it safe all the time.
The Price of Gas is coming down!

Running In Trueblood.
We did limit our exposure to people... and avoided HyVee.  After all,  Sick people do not run around the lake in the freezing temps...  so in a way, we were perfectly safe!

The reason it is called the "Bone Park"

7 miles complete.

And then on to Muscatine this morning.   Muscatine has only two cases of the virus in their entire county!   So, again,  it seemed like a safer place to pick up a few supplies that were running low.  There were a few people out and about, but for the most part,  we had limited exposure.
This Weather is for the Birds

Running in Muscatine.

HyVee was the big risk in Muscatine, but most of the folks seemed somewhat healthy.   And we tried to touch nothing other than what we absolutely needed.   It was a quick in and out...  with a 12 pack of Alaskan Beer... because Beer is essential.   Also,  Alaskan Brewers  variety pack now had two new flavors!  It would almost be criminal and foolish NOT to buy some.

Mostly the Lazy Geese.
Time for some shopping.
And just when you thought things were safe,  there was the subtle reminder that even the folks in Muscatine are aware of the situation the country is in.   Looks like someone placed a Mask on the Pathfinder Statue near the trail.  Also, the Bathrooms, which are always open in time for our little run, were closed until this virus thing dies down.

No time to Horde Supplies...
Think if they had these 200 years
ago.

A Little bit of a Vent: ( sorry to be political,)  The Powers that be are trying to offer American Workers a little relief from the current shut down.   By giving them BACK their Tax money. ( Because it is American Tax Payers that fund the Government... not the other way around!)   However,  Things are working at the speed of Government.. Meaning:  Nothing is getting done!   Now Cheryl and I are two of the few people who will fall through the cracks, because no one gives a crap about "Self-Employed" people.   But that does not mean that I am complacent in the livelihood of my Fellow American...  Tax payer/ worker.   They run the engine of our Economy and without them I would not get my beer, chocolate, cat food, and Origami Paper.   ( All essential items to my livelihood.)  Now Imagine the Bozo's in Washington were running your Cancer Treatment.... Think about that for a moment...

To be more Partisan,  It was the Dem's who threw in a bunch of "Diversity Education"  and "Green: New deal  Crap into the "Covid 19 relief package" that broke the system.  People will not care about the  color of one's skin or he environment OR what sexual orientation they are if workers  become jobless, Homeless and Hungry... .  But what do I know?   I'm just a voter... Who fully plans on braving the elements and virus outbreak to make it to the Polls in November.

A Little late to be working from home now....

Hope everyone is staying safe.   One of our neighbors, we just learned, has been sent home  to work from home now.   Seems someone in her building has tested positive for the virus and they sent everyone home with their work computer while they decontaminate the Building.  The problem is that she does not have the internet... so she was asking us questions on what we have out here in Rural Iowa.     Cheryl answered the questions while maintaining a distance of 6 feet from behind a mostly closed door.   I figured it was simply a matter of time before she would be sent home as well.  ( She had been going to work all this time without any hiccups.)  We shall now have to be more careful touching handles in our building.  Fun times!
Most of the folding is done.
Next stop... Adding Motion.

Hope everyone is staying safe.   I have been working on my Origami Chorus assembly.   I now have to hammer out the details of stop motion shooting.   It should keep my mind off of the eminent "End of Times" for a little while.   We shall see.

That bill should never been about anything BUT the American working class and small business. I hope that some people take that into consideration next November. That whole bunch in Washington needs to clean up their act. So much for my rant!

You have many more origami figures than the other day! I am crocheting my way through this virus crisis.

Stay safe...couldn't that lady have just asked quickly for your phone # and then called you...some people just don't get it:(
