And then along came the Snow....

Morning Surprise!
We were a little surprised by the snow this morning.   Cheryl said it was going to warm up slightly next week....  But she said nothing about today.

Subie has been covered!
It was cold enough for snow on the car and most other places,  but at least the roads were mostly clear.   They were still slick, but at least you could feel the road with the Subaru.   ( and Subie said, watch out for the wet looking spots!)
Cheryl shivers for a run.

You might think this would discourage people from running,  but this is Cheryl's favorite type of misery.   This is the first time this season where she had to wear the winter leggings.   She was not very happy about it.

Winter wonderland.
I thought the wind and cold and snow would leave the moment the sun came out... but they are still here.  Sure, the sun warms things up here in Iowa.   But I'm thinking that there is a very good possibility the snow might stick around for a couple days.   Just in time for our Super Secret Mission.
Avoid the slippery spots.

A welcome leftover from Football
Season
Cheryl also compalined about the slippery conditions on the trail.    I mostly did not like that the bathrooms near Camp Cardinal were closed for the season.    Luckily,   the Port-A-Jons are still left over from the Football season.   It beats going outside, but the cold still has an effect.

Not to mention having to fumble with Mr. Happy inside several layers of winter clothing.   And...  to quote Seinfeld:   There is Shrinkage!   Like a frightened turtle.  Getting him out is less like a slinky and more like a tightly  coiled spring!

But other than that,  things are looking fine.   Stockings are still coming in and people are still sending me conversations to change their mind of everything.   Normal Allenbrite Christmas.

More Stockings.

Emmy and Oscar. Now for Tony and
Grammy!
I'll try to keep the post short and I have to answer those conversations after this.   And I have to ration the internet.   But at least I get to post  something.

Thanks for stopping in. And stay warm!
