Snow, Blowing and Drifting Snow....

After the snow storm... the drifts cover the Subies.    Cheryl had to break into Silver bullet this morning as both front doors were frozen shut.   Thankfully, I discovered hot water will open them effortlessly, rather than breaking a window.

The roads have been improving each hour as the snowplows do their magic. By the time we drove home from Iowa City,  most of the roads were clear and had lots of melting going on.

As for the trail.  Looks like the Parks and rec people were a little behind.  We were forced to run in the snow with sections of drifting.  We kept the running to the minimum, given the conditions.. But it was still an adventure!  Especially with the Bike!

The sun is out and the wind is coming from odd directions.  I doubt we will be doing much else other than hibernating for the rest of the day.   It seems like a good time to do just that.   And besides, I have a Stocking I had to add a name to.    The Customer sent us a nice note along with the stocking and the entire process took hardly any time at all.

Hope everyone is staying warm and cozy.   No more snow is predicted for the next several days, so the roads should be clear after today.   And then it is just a matter of tolerating the cold and hoping the trails get cleared by the Parks service.  Fingers crossed.   246

We didn't get that much snow! Nice or not nice depending on what you think of snow.

The groomers are out for the x country ski trails, snow mobile trails, and the fat tire bike trails.
I guess the fat tire bikes can go more easily in snow? Have you ever tried one?

Enjoy!
