Ah! The elusive elongated seat!

I finished carving the last two seats for the week, and we had to , once again, drive all over for them. The stores have been rather delinquent in keeping their stocks filled. On a bright note, we found the location of a box distributor that could save us money on shipping materials! Other than that, not much else going on tonight, I did manage to get over yesterdays post and just decided that it will remain one of the great mysteries of the world. (Fighting the urge to go off again. Hold it! Hold It!) IT"S LIKE TAKING A BITE OUT OF A DOUGHNUT AND GOING BACK TO THE SERVICE DESK TO ASK FOR A REFUND????WHY??? Sorry, I feel a little better, I just have to not think of it. Tonight's Anime Theme is from Shana I've been watching it on Uber Anime. I love the opening theme. this version is the full 4 min version ...Enjoy!

Celebrating my 71st follower! After one year of blogging!

We are getting close to that first anniversary of my blog. As of August 20, I will have been blogging one full year! And...I now have over 70 followers! I know that might not be as many as some other blogs, but since my blog is not political, religious, or anything in particular, I'm impressed that many people find me interesting enough to follow at all. Thanks to all of you! As for today's post: I carved up only two seats. Rather pitiful, but look back a year ago, I was most likely in the same boat as now. Summer usually is a rather slow time for us. Tomorrow I hope to finish carving, sanding and painting of the tree so it should be out on in the front by Monday. Tuesday at the latest! Thanks again to everyone for following me along. Have a great weekend! Oh! And the newest anime I have been following. Rozen Maiden! Would it not be awesome to have dolls like these!

Strawberries and carvings for Jewelry.

The Landlord left us some Strawberries today, so Cheryl decided that the best way to eat them is to dip them in chocolate. Perhaps tomorrow we'll have shortcake ( Not the Spongecake...Yech!) Tonight I worked on a simple carving for Cheryl's shop. She asked me to carve a neckline so she could photo her necklaces better. I must say, I'm pleased with the results, even though it is rather simple. I usually over think things, but luckily, she had a photo of something she wanted. It's not finished yet, I still have to sand it down and perhaps stain it. but she could not wait to take some pictures with her jewelry for her shop. Hope you're having a great weekend!

All caught up!

Finally! the last of the seats are all caught up and should be ready to ship out tomorrow. It was not too bad, just some seats that were ordered on Tuesday will go out on Friday. Usually it's a little faster. Regardless, the slate is clean and ready for new orders for the weekend. The sunset was pretty good tonight, A dash of pink and a couple of artistic shadows. It currently is Raining again, but maybe tomorrow I'll be able to work on the wood nymph again. It's been a while since I had the shop cat featured. He has been exploring the outside instead of camping out on my shoulders. And to help finish off the week, Here is the opening theme to Air TV. If it does not capture you....then you didn't listen to it all. It's also a great anime series...Enjoy!

What happened to all the elongateds?

It was an exercise in frustration tonight, chasing around to two cities, four stores and finally settling for less than expected. That is, we are still missing one elongated seat. Anyway, I did manage to carve up 8 seats tonight, and get a base coat of paint on them. But it is late and it took all of my motivation to get that far. So I will finish painting them tomorrow and with a little luck, the stores will RESTOCK! Com'on Keep up the supply, guys! Because I have not posted any origami as of late, here is a new bird, based off the french guy that does origami. It's easy and has a wonderful rounded shape. Enjoy!

Great Lakes shipping

Another five seats tonight. Several of them I have not done for a long time. Namely, lion, koi, and the brown trout. Tomorrow is looking like an easy day so far, with only three seats, but hopefully we will sell a few more. We still have a HUGE Ebay bill to pay off! Anyway, we had some time to visit the beach and see the sunset, Even thought it was raining most of the day. I was hoping to capture a rainbow, but instead I got one of the great lakes ships that deliver either coal, fuel or gravel to Grand Haven. My money is on Coal to the power plant. Anyway, the ship was almost as long as the pier! They don't come in very often, but it's a site when they do, especially when you are standing on the Pier as they come in!

More seats! YEAH!

Carved up three more seats tonight. The last batch took too long to dry so they( hopefully) will all go out tomorrow. I finally found an old barbershop group that for a while, was lost on youtube. I don't even know if they are still together. Enjoy Rounders.
