The latest from Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood!

In case you are not aware of it, the third installment of Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is out now and Cheryl and I were one of the first people in line to purchase it. It's pretty cool! I would recommend it to anyone who has read the Manga and ever wanted the Anime to be true to it...but I'm still spoiled on the Original Full Metal Alchemist. IT seemed to be a little more thought out than the Brotherhood series. It's just my opinion. I have to at least applaud them for attempting to improve on perfection! FMA original seemed to be the best anime ever...and even when it was done...you still wanted more. Now if ONLY they would redo Claymore! True to the Manga....then I can be one of those Otoku snobs that insist the manga is better than the Anime and mean it. Anyway...if you haven't checked it out yet...you can see the English dubbed on Funimation.com. Go check it out! It's still a great Anime. Oh! And Olivie Armstrong. (Major Armstrong's Sister) Is introduced. She is A general that runs the Briggs Wall. Next to Hawkeye, she is one of my favorite female characters. ( I can't help it...she so sexy...)

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood ( part 2) Is OURS!

We finally got the second part of the English Dubbed Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood series. I must say that Funimation is doing a GREAT job with the voice acting and dubbing. As you might remember, Cheryl and I watched the Japanese versions ( also on Funimation) and there are things that you just "miss" when you are forced to read the subtitles. Well, finally, the reading is over and you can sit back and catch ever emotion and expression that the Anime illustrators intended. If you have not yet seen it, it is available for viewing ( for free might I add) at on Funimation right now. ( check it out...you'll thank me!) And then go out and buy it! There are commentaries on the DVD that you can't find on the website. Now to be fair... I still like the original better. ( Just a touch) I could write forever on all the things that I find better, but alas this is enough. The Brotherhood series is more action and adventure! There is still a good storyline and part 2 ( episodes 14-26) are where the story REALLY deviates from the original anime and holds true to the original Manga. Well, Rather than write a book, Hopefully this will just tweak your interest enough to check it out. Find it on Funimation now! Enjoy!

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Only three Left!

That is right there are only three episodes left! Check them out at Funimation! In other news, Cheryl and I took another trip to Iowa to check out some housing leads. It was enlightening! You see, the job we have is in Iowa City and the place we were looking at was in Davenport, Iowa. ( a Bit of a commute) So we thought that it might be better if we got a hotel room for a week or two and look for something a little closer. Cheryl is as eager as I to get there and get settled, but we still have a last MOVING sale to get ready for and hopefully raise a little more cash. I also have to find some type of storage for the rest of the unsold stuff. It will be difficult to move when there is no place to move to! It may be a while till my next post! I'm currently at the library as our computer is "down" . I'm not sure when I will next get a chance to post something. ( I'm thinking a lap top might be in our future!)

Full Metal Alchemist....Is ours! Well, Part one anyway.

I didn't blog about this when we got it, but on the day it was released to stores, Cheryl and I ran out to purchase the English Dubbed version of Full metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Target was supposed to have it, but we found our version at Best Buy. After watching the first several episodes on Funimation, You just have to conclude that it is not the same as the Original Full Metal Alchemist. But sticks to the Manga more faithfully. I DO find it very entertaining on a different scale, however. It is much more action driven than the first one. I'm sure you probably have read most of this before in a previous post, But I just wanted to say that Funimation has done a great job dubbing it ( Of coarse!) and managed to talk most of the original cast to play their old roles once again. Edward just would not be the same without Vic! As for the new Alphonse! Maxey Whitehead does a GREAT job! She almost sounds like the old Aaron Desmuke from the original. (Sorry for the geek talk folks, If you are not a big Anime fan, you probably do not know who these people are. I understand.) So I'm giving it 4 stars ( out of five) at this point. ( Comeon, Nothing could be better than the original...there can be only one that good) I would recommend it to anyone. Go get your version now from Funimation or your local Best Buy. Enjoy!

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood English DUB is HERE!

That is right full metal fans! It's FINALLY OUT! As you might recall if you follow my blog, I have been posting the periodic update as the Subbed versions of FULL METAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD come out on Funimation. Well....The English DUBBED versions are beginning their long awaited debut! The fist episode is on Funimation right now! and we are waiting for the 20Th of this month to purchase the entire English dubbed series ( at least part one) I will continue to watch the subbed version until it is finished, but let me tell you the dubbed version is better. Most of the same actors are there with their original parts but it is refreshing to watch the show instead of having to read the subtitles. So GET READY! FOR FUN! FUNIMATION IS THE BEST! Enjoy the First opening once again!

Origami Pegasus. The full metal!

I tried out my new paper tonight and I seem to have found some of it's limitations. Its great in that it folds well and is very difficult to rip. It has the consistency of paper money. BUT it folds about as well in that it is thick for finer creasing. Ah well. It was fun to work with. As with other fabric paper, it still gradually unfolds. My guess is that I should stick to easier models. I'll need to find either thinner metallic paper for those complex ones. In other news, Cheryl and I finished the complete series and movie finale of the FULL METAL ALCHEMIST! Cheryl is quite addicted. Lucky break for me since she does not like Anime as much as I do. With this series, she has become a fan! ( as in the crazy FANATIC /Trekkie type.) she bought the disks and music and posters! It IS a great anime series that you can totally immerse yourself in. I would highly recommend it to any and all anime fans. You will laugh and cry!
