Hail and Sun in Iowa.

Hale?  Hail...  Oh Hail!   Last night,  with a bit of Heavy rain,  we got to enjoy an evening of Hail.   Grape-sized, I would guess.  I really hope not to see anything larger as our trusted Subaru is parked outside with only a tree for Protection.    However,  it is cool to see Hail from time to time as we never saw it in Michigan.    Just one of those perks of being surrounded by The Great Lakes, I guess.
Currently,  the high temps that we enjoyed are gone.   A strong wind has blown in some cooler temps and a bit of rain.   No evening bike ride for us this time...

But this morning,  we ran in 65 degree weather with a mild breeze.  Finally!   Pleasant weather for Bike Riding!   However,  my joy brings gloom and despair to Cheryl.  Apparently... "Running" in 65 and sunny weather is not very pleasant.   She still managed to finish all 7 miles, but not without a lot of complaining.

And even though we chose the bleak and desolate side of the trail from West Chester,  we still managed to pass a possible vector of disease!   Remember that post about horses on the trail?   Well I think we may have figured out the possible culprit.     Even with the trail being fairly dry and firm,  the horse's hooves were digging nice little pocks into the ground.   So pleasant to ride your bike on.

While attempting to pass them,  Cheryl rightfully hesitated.   The horse did not look very happy about us coming up behind it.  And the Rider was OBVIOUSLY oblivious as she was chatting on a cell phone.    I wonder if she even noticed us at all; or wondered why the horse was suddenly prancy and nervous.   Either way,  she took a side trail off into a field.  Lucky us!  Because I did not want to get kicked by a jumpy horse...  And I was happy the horse did not dig up more of the trail than needed.

The increased heat motivated us to dig out the Air Conditioner.   It was a bit of a chore cleaning the thing off, but it did provide a fun project in these times of "House Arrest."   It fits like a glove in the new window...  A pleasant change from the   ill-fitting 1950's window that allowed Bugs and Wild Animals to enter our small apartment.   ( mostly bugs... and Spiders... Ugh...  spider!!)

Not sure what Cheryl has planned for tomorrow.  Possibly a store visit or a Muscatine run....  Depends on the weather.   Thanks for stopping in.

That horse should be used to people and others on the trail...if the rider was not paying attention she should have been. Idiots abound and some are on horseback!
We had icy balls from the sky again today but just tiny ones:)
