right? Roughing out with chisels alone is quite time consuming! And 
there is one lovely place that just kept eating my chisels up ( the crotch of the tree) I took a chip out of just about every chisel
I was using at the time. However, I did manage to make some progress on the cat on the shoulder. Then my daylight ran out.... Do to keep the blog interresting, I have had this song inmy head for the past several days. Ah! Queen! Brings me back to the '80's. Enjoy!

But your taste in music, well I'll refrain from any further comment.
Sorry those chisels are chipping.
Its a pain especially if you've just got that perfect edge on them. True its rarely the blunt one that chips.

oh man, You don't like queen? "we are the champions?" "we will rock you?" lol Ah well. It's true that I wonce had chisels that rarely chipped, but there didn't cut much either. Before I knew what "sharp" was, I sharpened them to about a 35 degree angle ( ok stop laughing! I didn't know any better, and they were dull to begin with.
