Making Cheryl's last work table

Yesterday, we went to Woodcraft again and I was able to get my hands on a 1/4" spiral bit. It's so wonderful, I can't believe I used a router without one! My chance to use it came tonight when I assembled Cheryl's last work table. I used to simply to route out the area for the legs to fit into the feet. The spiral bit cuts so smoothly and with less splinters. Other than that, the table went together rather well . As usual, what was dead level in the shop and no wobble gets to Cheryl's room and it's off slightly. I'm thinking the wood floor in Cheryl's room is not as level as it should be. So, Cheryl's room is now complete...for the moment anyway. She is already thinking that I may need to build her a packing station in front of her bookshelves. But that will be a little later and a different design. I'm hoping tomorrow I'll be able to finish up the things I started with my router station and the templates that I started a couple of days ago. I can't wait to use the 1/4 inch bit again on something new. I'm beginning to see the router as a tool that can almost do anything! The true king of the workshop!

What a great looking table, its fun to see this come together. I know what you mean about the floors being less then level. I think when they built my house they threw the level over the hill somewhere and just started building. I'm so glad to hear that the orange kitty was a hit~thanks so much!
